Dreamworld Engine
Dreamworld is Funcom's in-house engine, developed around 2000 and first used in Anarchy Online. Ahead of Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, Funcom deliberately chose to keep evolving its own technology rather than license a third-party engine, and rebuilt Dreamworld substantially for the new game. The same engine later powered The Secret World, making it one of the rare engines to see continuous, decade-plus development inside a single studio.
