NCSOFT has mapped out the official rollout schedule for the global premiere of Aion 2. In an effort to mitigate launch-day network bottlenecks and eliminate download queues, the publishing team is rolling out game files two full days ahead of early servers going live.

The definitive deployment timeline unfolds across three major beats:

  • Global Pre-download unlocks on Monday, September 28, at 15:00 CEST (06:00 PDT / 13:00 UTC). Players can queue downloads simultaneously via Steam and the NC PURPLE platform;
  • Headstart Early Access kicks off on Wednesday, September 30, at 15:00 CEST for owners of Founder's Packs, granting a five-day head start on leveling, territory claiming, and legion founding;
  • The full Free-to-Play global launch follows on Monday, October 5, at 15:00 CEST, welcoming the broader gaming community.

NCSOFT issued an important technical advisory targeting participants of the mid-September Launch Scale Test. Players with existing test builds installed on their drives must execute a clean uninstall prior to Monday. The final release client operates on a separate Steam app ID and directory architecture; attempting to patch over legacy test files will cause validation mismatches and client crashes on launch.

Aion 2 promises a massive return to the skies of Atreia, pairing Unreal Engine 5 aerial dogfights and fortress siege warfare with unified progression across PC and mobile platforms.
