Lineage 2 Launches First Main Servers in 3 Years: Aden and Rune Bring +30 Weapons and 500% EXP Boost

This marks a monumental milestone for the original Lineage 2 community. While spin-offs like Essence and Legacy spent years capturing the casual spotlight, the foundational "Main" version remained an intimidating fortress for prospective newcomers. Years of accumulated gear gaps, deep collection systems, and steep progression curves kept returning veterans at bay. Now, following a three-year hiatus, publisher Innova and developer NCSoft have officially unveiled two brand-new servers — Aden and Rune. The gates swing open on October 14, 2026.

The operational priority for this launch centers entirely on dismantling entry barriers. Instead of enduring an exhausting, multi-month leveling slog, players will step onto a high-speed express route straight into high-tier endgame content. Both worlds feature a permanent +500% EXP and SP boost, unrestricted free teleportation across Elmoreden, and illusory starter gear scaling up to 5,000 equipment points to sustain characters well into mid-game farm zones.

The biggest headline shocker for veterans, however, is the milestone progression reward. Any character reaching level 115 will receive a guaranteed Serene Weapon +30. Handing out max-enchanted, top-tier baseline weaponry completely bypasses months of soul-crushing grind and costly enhancement risks, immediately preparing characters for high-stakes mass PvP.

Solo progression takes a backseat to classic group dynamics. Advancing through collective clan missions between levels 110 and 115 rewards entire parties with vital kit components:

• Pre-enchanted +8 Angel Accessories;
• Coveted Ruler's Authority belts;
• Exchange tickets for core Epic Boss jewelry sets.

Top ladder rushers will compete for in-game Dragon Weapons and Golden Spheres, as well as physical collector items: hand-crafted custom mechanical keyboard keycaps sculpted after the four legendary dragons — Antharas, Valakas, Lindvior, and Fafurion.

Players planning their return can secure an early launch package featuring Epic Jewelry, a Golden Sphere, and a B-grade Relic by signing up on the official Lineage 2 pre-registration hub before the servers go live on October 14.
