Jagex has launched the major content expansion Havenhythe Part II: Journey into the East for RuneScape. The barrier beyond Amberfell has finally fallen, granting adventurers access to the eastern half of the island — the murky Boglands of Fenmoor, the mining settlement of Heathervein, and the ancient citadel of Shuruk-Ba.

The island's narrative arc reaches its climax in the new quest, Heralds of Crimson. Inanna's ominous visions regarding Wendlewick's demise draw players directly toward The Crimson Throne. Tackling this finale requires completing the prerequisite quest Secrets of Amberfell alongside 55 Herblore, 51 Crafting, 65 Mining, and 60 Smithing.

Skilling enthusiasts receive a substantial quality-of-life alternative to high-intensity clicking. Heathervein introduces the Exalted Quarry, where miners extract Essence Lumps, Chunks, and Slabs. Processing these yields Exalted Essence, introducing a relaxed, low-intensity training method for Runecrafting across compatible altars without relying on relentless click routines.

Further east in Fenmoor, players encounter the Bogolins — a jittery, semi-aquatic race defending their grounds against Sanguine corruption. Felling petrified trees provides materials to craft Toad, Mollusc, and Elemental Totems, offering a budget-friendly Fletching training loop. Completed totems reward unique utility items, including the Fenshell Knife, the Bogolin Sogtorch (boosting woodcutting success rates), and crafting components for a mid-tier magic staff. Additionally, players with 77 Divination can awaken the Memories of the Colossi, attuning Memory Stones and sprinting across murals for Divination and Agility experience.

Combat balancing fundamentally reworks Sanguine weaknesses. The restrictive 50% damage penalty applied to non-Havensilver gear has been completely removed. Instead, Havensilver weapons now grant a flat +50% damage boost against Sanguine foes. Three new Slayer targets have also entered the wild:

  • Sanguine Bogolins: volatile, exploding aberrations requiring no Slayer level.
  • Sanguine Werewolves: bleed-heavy hunters requiring 72 Slayer for task assignments.
  • Ravenous Strigoi: lethal Vampyrium horrors demanding 104 Slayer.

Defeating these threats yields Crimson Ichor, used to craft three new Sigil Codices, the Nightblood Ring for ranged bolt activations, and an orb to upgrade the Bogolin Earthborne Staff to Tier 78. Players will need these armaments ready: Jagex confirmed that on October 12, 2026, the Ghrazi Blood Knights will arrive as RuneScape's first-ever duo-only boss encounter.
