Starry Studio has officially announced the next major scenario for Once Human, titled "Isles of Abyss". Scheduled to launch globally on October 21, 2026, the upcoming season trades familiar post-apocalyptic continental badlands for a vast, hostile ocean archipelago tainted by Stardust contamination.
The core gameplay loop shifts entirely towards maritime survival. Motorcycles and trucks take a back seat to modular vessel construction. Metas must engineer custom watercraft ranging from primitive scouting rafts to motorized floating fortresses equipped with crafting benches, living quarters, and automated defense turrets. Your ship acts as a mobile territory, serving as both safe haven and frontline defense against deep-sea predators.
Oceanic survival introduces uncompromising environmental threats:
- Deep-sea diving: exploring submerged Rosetta research facilities and ocean trenches in search of lost blueprints and high-tier weapon mods, while strictly managing oxygen reserves and depth pressure.
- Abyssal Aberrations: mutated aquatic predators, colossal Leviathans, and tempest bosses capable of tearing through ship hulls in seconds.
- Resource scarcity: purifying seawater, navigating severe tropical cyclones, and keeping character Sanity stable through prolonged offshore storms.
Scenario server reservations are now available directly through the in-game event menu. Reserving a spot ahead of time unlocks launch rewards, including Starchrom caches for the Wish Machine, supply crates, and naval customization cosmetics.
