Everstone Studio and publisher NetEase have officially detailed the upcoming two-phase content roadmap for the Qingzhou expansion in open-world Wuxia action-RPG Where Winds Meet. The major update rolls out in two staggered drops, launching its opening chapter on October 15, 2026, followed by a second maritime wave on October 29.

The first phase sends martial artists up the rugged slopes of the Eastern Peak of Dai Shan, inspired by the legendary Mount Tai. Towering cliffs etched with ancient inscriptions and pine-covered mountain trails open up sweeping vistas where the Yellow River empties into the ocean. Surviving the heights will take serious preparation. Three deadly world encounters await in the mist: Tidewatcher, Old Raftsman, and Zhu Yinghan. Players can tackle these threats with the Ribbon Drum, a versatile new hybrid weapon paired with the Silkbind: Wings combat discipline. It specializes in wide-area crowd control, aerial mobility, and combat buffs for party members.

On October 29, the borders expand further toward the mist-wrapped Penglai Isle. Its coastal academies host a fresh martial sect known as the Inkbound Order. Built on scholarship, calligraphy, and tactical wit, this faction rejects senseless slaughter. Their arrival introduces A Duel of Wits, an innovative card-based debate system. Players face off in tactical rhetorical duels, resolving factional disputes through argumentative card play and strategic dialogue rather than trading sword strikes.

Coupled with regional academy trials, oddity hunting, and lingering melody collections, Where Winds Meet is taking meaningful steps beyond standard combat-loop grinders. The game is building an authentic martial arts ecosystem where intellect and diplomacy carry just as much weight as physical mastery.
