Escape from Tarkov Reveals PvE Prestige in Update 1.2.0.0: Cross-Mode Gamma, NKVD Finka, and TarCoin

Battlestate Games has outlined the first major feature set for Escape from Tarkov's upcoming update 1.2.0.0. Moving away from sweeping global changes, this milestone release is laser-focused on refining the standalone PvE environment. The headline addition delivers the exact long-term progression loop dedicated co-op and solo operatives have been asking for: a dedicated PvE Prestige system.

Without automated server wipes, PvE Tarkov inevitably collided with endgame stagnation. Once players secured their Kappa containers, finished the Lightkeeper questline, and hoarded hundreds of millions of roubles alongside stacks of meta thermal optics, raiding against AI opponents lost all sense of danger. The new PvE Prestige mirrors its PvP predecessor. Upon satisfying an unforgiving checklist of requirements, PMCs can willingly reset their progress back to ground zero, reigniting the scrappy early-wipe scramble for medical supplies, croutons, and weapon parts in exchange for permanent status trophies.

The defining shift lies in cross-mode reward persistence. Battlestate Games is deliberately establishing a bridge between safe bot raids and brutal multiplayer:

• PvE Prestige unlocks unique editions of coveted melee blades, including custom variants of the NKVD Finka knife and the Akula dagger, alongside an exclusive revision of the Gamma secure container.
• While these trophies can only be earned through dedicated PvE resets, once unlocked they become permanently usable across all game modes, including mainline PvP.
• Each prestige tier pays out TarCoin, a newly introduced account-wide currency redeemable within the Expansions Hub for hideout expansions, extra stash lines, and account utility regardless of queue preference.

Visual customization remains strictly compartmentalized. Faction apparel, clothing outfits, and operator face presets unlocked via PvE milestones cannot bleed into PvP lobbies. Additionally, BSG confirmed that prestige resets in story PvE will not roll back combat gear, presets, or character rank in EFT: Arena.
