CCP Games has deployed The Cradle of War, delivering the most aggressive balance shakeup to Nullsec force projection in years. The update directly targets the stagnant "blue donut" meta by stripping mega-coalitions of effortless galactic mobility. At the center of the storm sits the Ansiblex Jump Bridge network, which now relies on a finite capacitor charge. Every single hull jumping through the conduit drains capacitor based on its mass and jump distance. Once the capacitor hits zero, the bridge shuts down for a prolonged recharge cycle. Pushing an armada of 250 heavy assault cruisers across four regions in five minutes is officially dead. Run out of juice mid-fleet, and your rearguard gets stranded on the wrong side of the gate.
The operational nerf cuts even deeper for coalition partners: access to Ansiblex bridges is now strictly restricted to members of the holding alliance. Blues and coalition allies can no longer use foreign logistics networks as personal expressways. Coalition forces must either deploy redundant infrastructure at massive sovereign cost or burn standard stargates directly through enemy pipe-bombs and interdictor bubbles. Power projection is forced back into localized territorial defense.

Wormhole space received an equally massive tactical overhaul. Combat sites across Class 1 to Class 3 wormholes feature updated Sleeper AI, with NPCs coordinating electronic warfare while becoming vulnerable to energy neutralization tactics. Crucially, CCP reduced the hull mass of Marauders and Black Ops battleships. For wormhole hunting corps, this is a massive quality-of-life win: heavy strike teams can now jump unstable holes without the constant terror of collapsing the mass limit and trapping a 3 billion ISK hull inside hostile territory.
Pochven fleet farming caps also tightened up. Observatory Flashpoint capacity dropped from 15 to 12 pilots with scaled payout adjustments, demanding tighter coordination. The update introduces four drone support mutaplasmids, restores lost optimal range to medium railguns on the Deimos, Phobos, and Vigilant, and reinforces defensive profiles on Lancer Dreadnoughts. Promotional packs and 50% SKINR design discounts remain active through October 5, while AIR Career Program milestones will migrate to Paragon Services achievements this November.
