Hello Games has rolled out content update 7.10 Forsaken for space sandbox No Man's Sky. The patch tackles two long-standing community gripes: clunky menu navigation during routine interstellar travel and the lack of high-stakes danger in deep space. Travellers can now jump to neighboring systems directly through their cockpit crosshairs without pausing for the Galaxy Map, hunt for cursed curios under threat of boundary horrors, utilize a radial weapon selector, and upload deep-space orbital bases to the shared server.

Aim-to-Warp Navigation and Minimalist Interface

The most impactful change to everyday flight is direct interstellar warping. Previously, jumping to an adjacent system required opening the heavy Galaxy Map, pausing flight momentum to plot courses manually. Update 7.10 allows pilots to target visible neighboring stars right through their ship viewport and initiate the jump on the fly. If an active mission leads to a neighboring system, the target star is tagged with a quest marker directly in deep space.

Complementing the flight overhaul is the new Minimal HUD mode. It strips away compass bars, environmental hazard meters, and persistent quest trackers, letting pilots focus on raw space visuals while keeping HUD elements strictly for critical combat moments.

Haunting Mementos and Boundary Horrors

Deep space scavenging now carries genuine risk. Abandoned freighters, infested outposts, and planetary dig sites now harbor Haunting Mementos. Mysterious Forsaken Traders stationed at outer outposts eagerly buy these curios, but greed comes at a steep price: lingering too long during excavation summons hostile Boundary Horrors. These skirmishes turn routine salvage runs into claustrophobic survival encounters.

Turning in mementos unlocks grim gear, including the biomechanical Larva Cannon Multi-Tool, an animated Larva Tank helmet customisation, and exclusive character titles.

Insectoid Cockpits and Cruiser-Style Habitation

Ship customization expands with a wave of sinister corvette modules. Four cockpit archetypes join the builder: the angular Mantis with reinforced titanium bars, the wide-view Vantage, and the aggressive Hornet and Viper frames, each boasting three fuselage variants. Interior designers can also install Legion-Class crew compartments, swapping generic habs for tight, industrial cruiser corridors.

Orbital architects receive a massive multiplayer upgrade as well: deep-space stations and orbital habitats can now be uploaded directly to the central server, allowing visitors across the galaxy to dock and explore player-built megastructures.

Radial Tool Selector and Space Courier Runs

Combat ergonomics get a substantial boost thanks to a radial Multi-Tool menu, replacing the tedious sequential button cycling between mining beams, bolters, and terrain manipulators. Furthermore, corvette pilots equipped with a Gravitino Coil can pick up high-paying courier contracts from deep-space terminals, rushing volatile packages through dangerous systems for substantial payouts.
