Everstone Studio has teamed up with the minds behind Escape from Tarkov to launch a high-stakes PvPvE extraction mode named Transdust Ruins. Going live on September 23, 2026 alongside the Version 2.2 update Perilous Eminence, the mode trades military ballistic rifles for cold steel and ancient martial arts.
The core extraction loop remains true to form. Survivors deploy across a barren desert ruins map on a strict countdown timer, searching ruins for ancient relics while dodging rival swordsmen. Falling in battle forfeits every piece of unsecured treasure. Escaping through extraction points with a full backpack is the only path to progression, turning every footsteps into a potential duel.
Classic wuxia traversal breaks open the genre’s traditional pacing. Lightness skills allow players to run up sheer stone cliffs and leap across entire sand dunes to bypass choke points. Infiltration goes beyond simple ambushes: using the Celestial Seize technique, agile rogues can pickpocket rare artifacts straight from an opponent’s satchel mid-sprint without triggering open melee combat.
Victory does not demand total lobby clearance. Survival discipline and knowing when to pull back dictate who leaves rich and who feeds the desert. Transdust Ruins debuts alongside the Version 2.2 release window with limited-time event rewards for successful raiders.
